i fought the cat, and the cat won

It turns out my parents' cat didn't get enough medicine to make him better. So today was the third day in a row I've gone over there to force-feed him, and apparently he was tired of it. I walked away from the incident with a hole torn in one of my favorite pairs of jeans, and a couple of nice bloody bite marks underneath that on my calf. If I hadn't punched him in the nose and then held him at bay with the bottom of my shoe until I got to the door, it might have been worse. He's lucky he was steering me away from the shotgun in the den?

Plus, I didn't get the medicine even out of the bottle before it all happened. Tomorrow I'll be prepared with a blanket to wrap him up and keep him where I need him.

I have five more days of feeding him. I have a feeling that before the end of it, I'm going to need some ideas.

city of villains

My friends have apparently all gone out and bought the City of Villains game for PC. My friend Eric brought it over and installed it on my computer while we were watching the Ultimate Fighter finale.

I didn't want to get into another game that makes you pay $15 a month to pay it. It's just the principle of the thing. But the character creation feature alone is almost worth the game purchase.

So I created a couple of comic villains that I thought I'd share:

The one on the left is the Purple People Beater. He's basically a ninja that was the first character I created. He kind of sucks, but I liked the name so I kept him.

The guy on the right is The Greeter...a disgruntled worker from a retail store chain (that shall remain nameless) that finally snapped after saying the same line over and over 10,000 times a day. It's up to you to guess what the line is.

I wanted to find some way to give him a little gun that shoots out purple stickers for returned merchandise, but there wasn't anything even close.

I know, this is dumb, and I'm almost 30 years old and creating comic book villains and posting them on the internet. Cut me a break -- I've been sick for the last three or four days, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I'm off to go to sleep sitting upright in a chair now.
