The new Flaming Lips album,
At War With the Mystics, is coming out April fourth. I've already pre-ordered it on iTunes, because the couple of songs I've heard from it were super-good.
A lot of times I'll mention that I like the Flaming Lips to people, and they look at me like I'm a frigging idiot because they've never heard of them. But in reality, they're the frigging idiots, because the Flaming Lips are frigging awesome.
And more than likely, you have heard them and didn't know it. Remember that song "She Don't Use Jelly" back in the 90s? That was them.
Their song "Do You Realize" has been in a couple of commercials and TV shows (You can listen to the whole album that song's from by going
here).
But if you want to hear the best Lips album, it's
The Soft Bulletin. I couldn't find a link to listen to the album because it's so old (well, 1999
is old in Internet years), but you can hear samples of it
here. You really should just go buy the whole album, and thank me later.
